Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the supernatural Revelation of God and the final authority on matters of faith and behavior. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe there is only one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each fully God yet personally distinct from one another. (2 Cor 13:14).

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless life and offered himself a perfect sacrifice for all of humanity by dying on a cross. He rose after three days showing His power over sin and death and ascended to heaven sitting at the right hand of the Father. He is coming back to rule the world as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Everyone confesses and believes in Him will have eternal life. (Matt 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor 15:1-7; 1 Thess 4:13-18).

We believe the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and Son. He is in the world to reveal Jesus Christ to all people. He is present in the believer the moment of Salvation to provide what is necessary to live out the purpose of God for their life. He empowers believers with spiritual gifts to serve and edify the church as well as the lost and needy. (John 16:7-13; 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, 1 Cor 12-14; Rom 12:3-13; Eph 4:11-13).

We believe that all people are created in the image God yet marred by a sinful nature that is naturally hostile toward God and His ways. This sinful nature separates us from God and there is nothing we can do to attain right standing with God. (Rom 5:12, 18).

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Godhead as commanded by Jesus Christ. It does not precede Salvation but is an act of obedience after one has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:36-38; 19:1-6).

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as a wonderful gift available to every believer. This ability is given for the individual for personal prayer, worship and edification. (1 Cor 14:1-4, 15. Jude 20). The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for spiritual benefit but not necessarily a mark of spiritual maturity. (Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46).

We believe that there is one true universal church of genuine believers and comprising many churches all over the world each exercising autonomous government under the headship of Jesus Christ (Acts 15:22; Matt 16:18; 18:15-20).

We believe in the Lord’s supper that Jesus established with His disciples while he was on the earth. It is for all believers. (1 Cor 11:28-32; Matt 26:26-28).

We believe that all spiritual gifts are active and present today as distributed by the Holy Spirit as He wills.

We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman and is holy and blessed by God for the enjoyment of life and the procreation of children. (Prov 5:18; Gen 2:24; Mk 10:6-8.)

We believe in the existence of the devil and eternal judgement in the lake of fire for the devil and his angels and for those who reject Jesus as Lord. (Matt 25:41; Rev 20:14, 15).
